Keep an eye on this blog.
Over the coming weeks and months we will be working on some ambitious projects that will hopefully benefit Liverpool and the north west as a viable city for music, art and film.

Been busy working the Threshold festival and doing other things too. A little overview of the festival shall appear in the next few days.
The Baltic Triangle in Liverpool is as unique as it is full of potential.
An area of Liverpool that nobody really knows about but is a place full of charm, creative people and old boss looking buildings and warehouses. Most of which are empty and ripe for some development, so I put it to you good people of Liverpool why not take advantage and do something positive with this space? Already the Contemporary Urban Centre has shown us what could be achieved (sady it has now shut down due to Liverpool Direct being rubbish) and we also have Camp & Furnace located opposite and that is a lovely multi-purpose venue for music, art and beyond. And just around the corner? The legendary Picket. Amazing. Liverpool is expanding towards this area with Liverpool One and the docks being just a stones throw from the Baltic Triangle. Get on it, I am!!!
Have a look at these websites for some more information..

Video produced by the very talented LuLowe.
Elmo & the Styx - Watermelon.
This band are an exciting prospect for Liverpool. A high octane brand of rock and they are brilliant live.
“I was born with music inside me. Music was one of my parts. Like my ribs, my kidneys, my liver, my heart. Like my blood. It was a force already within me when I arrived on the scene. It was a necessity for me-like food or water.”

So Anti-Pop Records will be hosting a night at this years Threshold festival.
Threshold festival had a successful debut year in 2011 hosted at the now sadly closed Contemporary Urban Centre located in the Baltic Triangle in Liverpool.
Threshold will still be held over a few venues in the Baltic Triangle one of which is Camp & Furnace where Anti-Pop Records will host their event. The Anti-Pop event was very well received at last years festival so I don’t see why it won’t this year either.
Featuring a cracking line-up of punk and hard rock it is sure to go down well with the drunken masses!!
I suppose I should tell you the line-up..
Elmo & the Styx (exciting punk/funk)
In Evil Hour (Screamo punk)
Jackpot Golden Boys (avante garde rock)
The Vermin Suicides (punk you can dance too)
Sally Pepper (lovely acoustic noise)
Only a very brief description for each band but more is to follow as this blog builds up and up.
Threshold festival is held 10th-12th February 2012. You can get more information at their website and blog:

This is a blog for Liverpool based promoters and bands, a source of information.
I would like to see promoters helping each other out as well as helping bands by doing their best to put on a good show.
This blog will be used for the following:
Advice
Promotion
Communication
Networking
Feel free to get involved in any way you can, the more people pulling in the same direction the better Liverpool will be as a place to play.
